Access Economy – Presentation and Networking Event
12 Burgemeester Brokxlaan 5041 SB Tilburg | 20th of March 2025How can cities embrace the ‘access economy’ for everyday goods in their circularity strategies?
To hear answers from access economy leaders in Europe, join us in Tilburg on March 20th for “Welcome to the Access Economy”, a pitch presentation event and networking lunch.
Hosted by the Access Economy Alliance, this event brings together cities and service providers to discuss the potential for the access economy, an alternative approach to buying and throwing away enabled by a new wave of renting and sharing services. For a growing number of goods, from sports equipment to household tools, access is a more sustainable, convenient and affordable way to access high-quality goods when needed, where needed.

Taking place during the Dutch Circular Economy Week, speakers from leading cities and service providers will share on-the-ground experiences deploying the access economy as part of strategies for circular cities.
After a round of pitch presentations, a networking lunch allows participants to meet informally and discuss.

About the Access Economy
The Access Economy is emerging as a model for a circular economy – placing the emphasis on renting, borrowing and sharing rather than buying new items. Through new physical and digital infrastructure innovations including apps and sharing stations, access economy models are popping up across Europe, led by cities and startups.
About the Access Economy Alliance
This event is hosted by the Access Economy Alliance (AEA), Europe’s leading community of practitioners for the access economy. Founded through the Digital Kiosks project and led by Bax Innovation, it includes cities, service providers and researchers actively deploying access economy solutions.
