Dutch CE companies and knowledge institutes take a next step in the collaboration with California

Dutch Circular Economy companies and knowledge institutes have taken a next step in the collaboration with California. A trade mission headed by the Dutch Vice Minister of Environment visited San Francisco and Los Angeles. Other tracks of the mission were focused on Mobility and Resilience. Goal was to create business opportunities for participating companies and define goals for collaboration between Holland and California.

Trade Mission California November 2019

California has an ambitious Climate policy, reconfirmed by a signing between Vice Minister and Lt. Governor on Circular Economy, resiliency and sustainable mobility. Holland Circular Hotspot is presented as the main partner to develop the working program on Circular Economy.

Main topics within the Circular Economy track were Circular housing (area development and retrofitting), waste recycling, textiles and event management. The delegation participated several working sessions with the City of SF, Rocky Mountain Institute, US Green Building Council, LA Sanitation Department and City of Santa Monica. Resulting in RFP’s and proposals for collaboration for participating companies and the start of knowledge and exchange program between Amsterdam and San Francisco. The delegation was warmly welcomed during events and meetings at e.g. Recology, Culver City, City of LA, LA county, NIKE and many others.
