What if we reduce our environmental footprint through Design?

online | 28th of January 2021

According to the EU’s Circular Economy Action Plan, nearly 80% of product’s environmental impact is being determined already on a design stage. This understanding leads to a significant rethink of a designers’ role in our society – no matter if we talk about product designers, architects, industrial designers, urbanists, fashion, interior or events designers.

The Dutch Design Week event, organized by the Dutch Design Foundation, promotes the design of the future and for the future. It presents work and ideas of more than 2600 designers to more than 350,000 visitors from dozens of countries.

During this webinar, Ingrid van der Wacht, Head of International & Public Affairs at the Dutch Design Foundation will discuss the newest trends in design for the future and the importance of circular design.
