The debate on circular design primarily refers to new constructions. However, it is crucial to understand today’s deconstruction practices to understand the significant challenges and opportunities of the renovation wave. The event marks the starting point for a debate on this topic. It aims to define the term “deconstruction design,” discuss the current status quo and the main challenges to deconstruction design to enable the renovation wave. Panel discussions will focus on examples and possible solutions to define the next steps and help facilitate action.
