The congress will feature plenary and keynote lectures, parallel sessions with oral presentations, working group meetings, and poster presentations by both junior and senior researchers. The event will consist of two parts, namely the 52nd IUPAC General Assembly from 18-25 August 2023 and the 49th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress combined with the 11th edition of CHAINS, the largest chemistry congress in the Netherlands from 20-25 August 2023.

The IUPAC World Chemistry Congress is a biennial event, with the previous editions held in Sao Paolo (2017), Paris (2019), and digitally in Montreal (2021). The 2023 edition is expected to be held in person, and the organizers are looking forward to welcoming the participants in The Hague.
