Circular Hotspot NXT

Circular Hotspot NXT (Next) marks the next chapter in the evolution of Circular Hotspot events worldwide. While Circular Hotspots traditionally move from country to country, Circular Hotspot NXT allows the movement to return to places where it has already taken root—enabling countries and regions to build on existing momentum and organize a new edition, led by the same organization or a new coalition. The ambition is clear: to build on proven momentum, deepen collaboration, and significantly accelerate impact.

Building on the local energy and outcomes of previous editions, Circular Hotspot NXT adds greater structure and impact—powered by the insights, experience, and connections of the Holland Circular Hotspot network.

To support this, all Circular Hotspot NXT events are guided by a shared set of guidelines developed by Holland Circular Hotspot. Based on extensive experience gained on five continents, these guidelines provide direction for both the organization of the event and its alignment with the Circular Hotspot Next ideology and branding—ensuring consistency while allowing ample room for local interpretation.

Circular Hotspot NXT is not assigned through an election process. Instead, organizations are warmly invited to apply for the opportunity to host. Each application is thoughtfully reviewed, with Holland Circular Hotspot providing guidance and granting final approval to ensure strong alignment and quality.

Selected organizers will receive further guidance and tools to support the delivery of impactful, well-aligned events.

Call for Proposals: Circular Hotspot NXT

Are you ready to take your country’s circular economy movement to the next level? Are you ready to turn the energy and connections from your previous Circular Hotspot into tangible action and lasting impact?

We invite organizations to apply to host a Circular Hotspot NXT event in countries or regions where a Circular Hotspot has already taken place. This format brings the event back—building on existing momentum to accelerate impact, deepen collaboration, and connect local ecosystems to a global stage. If a Circular Hotspot has not yet been organized in your country, please refer to the Circular Hotspot Events call, where applications are open. You will have to pitch your idea to a jury of previous Hotspot organisers.

Circular Hotspot NXT is not a repetition of past events. It is a step forward. Building on the experience of previous hotspots worldwide, this new generation of events is more focused, more strategic, and more aligned under a shared vision. Grow coalitions of the willing—and amplify both impact and long-term commitment.

Who can be an organizer of a Circular Hotspot NXT?

A strong, committed organization or coalition from a country where the Circular Hotspot has been previously already organized that:

  • Can mobilize key stakeholders across sectors

  • Can mobilize event financing in a not for profit set-up

  • Are ready to deliver a high-quality, internationally connected event

  • Align with the values and direction of Circular Hotspot NXT guidelines

What to expect

Selected organizers will:

  • Receive access to the Circular Hotspot NXT guidelines and framework

  • Work in alignment with the established branding and positioning

  • Benefit from the global Circular Hotspot network and visibility

Important to know

  • Hosting Circular Hotspot NXT is not subject to an election process

  • All interested parties must submit an application

  • Final approval is granted by Holland Circular Hotspot
