Dutch Dubai EXPO2021

February 24, 2021

Between 1 October 2021 and 1 April 2022, the World Expo in the United Arab Emirates is set to make history. The EXPO 2020 will be one of the first global events after COVID-19 and will be the ideal stage for ambitious Dutch businesses and organisations. This global event is an extraordinary springboard for business and trade in the region well beyond 2021. Now is the time to get in and showcase the kind of innovative and sustainable solutions that the Kingdom of the Netherlands is known for, with a particular focus on the areas of water, energy and food.

Circular economy programme

The Netherlands will organize a programme on circular economy as part of the Dutch participation to the Dubai Expo. It will be organized during the Dubai Expo Global Goals Week, which also coincides with the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, from 16 to 20 January 2022. The circular economy programme will focus primarily on ‘Circular Economy and Buildings/Urban area development’ and ‘Circular Economy and Plastics’, keeping flexibility to add a third topic like textiles or Waste Management.
