Our partner RAIT88 continues to drive innovation in the recovery and reuse of electronic components through the development of a prototype robotic chip disassembly system.

Designed to automate the recovery of semiconductor components, which are increasingly critical resources, the system incorporates the specific precautions required for handling and processing sensitive electronic parts. By automating the disassembly process, RAIT88 aims to improve efficiency, consistency, and component recovery rates while supporting circularity in the electronics sector.

A key feature of the prototype is its open architecture design, which enables seamless integration into existing industrial production lines. The platform has also been developed with future scalability in mind, paving the way for the implementation of Artificial Intelligence solutions and the extension of the technology to additional recovery and reclamation applications.

This milestone represents another important step toward creating more sustainable and resilient electronics value chains, maximizing the reuse of valuable semiconductor components, and reducing electronic waste.
