Trade mission ASEAN-5 waste management & circular economy to IGEM Malaysia

Are you a Dutch company with solutions for effective waste management? Are you looking for customers in Southeast Asia? And do you want to work with partners on solutions contributing to a more circular economy? Then join the ASEAN-5 Waste Management & Circular Economy trade mission to IGEM in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 10 to 14, 2022. The mission’s program also includes field visits and networking events.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Dutch embassies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam are working to help entrepreneurs interested in this fast-growing market. Governments and private companies in all these countries are investing heavily in systems for better waste management.

A fast-growing and promising market in the ASEAN-5 region

This mission has 3 specific goals:

  • Gain insight into opportunities for Dutch companies in the waste sector and the circular economy in ASEAN-5.
  • Connecting potential buyers and business partners in ASEAN-5.
  • To position the Netherlands as a guide country to a more circular economy and as the preferred partner for Asian parties to work with.
Visit to IGEM

IGEM is Southeast Asia’s most prominent environmental technology trade show. The Netherlands presents itself at the fair in Kuala Lumpur with a Netherlands Pavilion. RVO, Holland Circular Hotspot, Metasus and the 5 embassies will organize the ‘Get in touch with the Dutch’ program. The program will draw attention to the Dutch approach to effective waste management. The ‘Get in touch with the Dutch’ program also includes key Indonesian, Singaporean, Thai and Vietnamese key figures from the waste sector and the circular economy.
