IE Expo, China’s largest Environmental Fair

From April 13-15, 2026 the Partners for International Business (PIB) Waste 2Resources China Programme will be in Shanghai for the 26-th edition of the IE Expo. It is China’s largest and the world’s second-largest environmental exhibition after IFAT Munich. The fair integrates business negotiations, technical exchanges, market development, brand marketing, trend releases, and international cooperation.

On April 16 and 17 the PIB will extend the visit to Jinan in the Shandong province. Shandong is one of China’s leading industrial and agricultural provinces, with strong clusters in chemicals, food processing, pulp & paper, energy, and livestock farming. This industrial scale creates significant volumes of wastewater, sludge, organic waste, and agricultural residues. As environmental regulations and carbon-reduction targets tighten, Shandong is shifting rapidly from end-of-pipe pollution control to waste-to-resources and energy recovery solutions.
